What is Design Your Own? |
|
Design Your Own is a unique feature that allows you to create your own link topic
or webpage. This is an advanced feature that many of our competitors do not offer. |

How do I Design My Own Webpage? |
- Login to the Control Panel
- Click on the Design Your Own Link
- Click on "Add new Design Your Own"
- Enter the name of your webpage in the "Name" field
- Check the box to the left of "Allow This page to be sent as an Evite/Newsletter"
if you want it to be able to be sent as an attachment to an Evite/Newsletter
- Add photos from photo album if you want photos
- Add files from file cabinet if you want files as attachments
- Hold the Mouse over the various icon options to see what each one does
- Enter Text in the Text field
- Modify the text color and size if desired
- Click "Save" to save any changes. The box to the left of "Source" must be
unchecked for a save to be successful

How do I make my Design Your Own Page appear as its own link on my website? |
- Login to the Control Panel
- Click on the Menu Link
- Select the "Design Your Own Menu" option if it is not already selected
- Click the "Add System Menu Item" button
- Click on "Individual Menu"
- Select the Design Your Own item you want to appear as a link by its name from the
drop down list
- Click the "Add Menu Item" button
- Click the "Save" button

I uploaded a picture and it appears in my control panel on my Design Your Own page,
but it does not appear to my visitors. Why? |
|
If the picture or photo is very large then it may "timeout" for visitors.
Especially those who are viewing the website over a slow or dial-up phone connection. |

How do I insert a link into my Design Your Own Page? |
- Login to the Control Panel
- Click on the "Design Your Own" link
- Choose the webpage where you want to add the link
- Select "Source" by clicking the box in the upper left corner of the editing toolbar
- Copy and paste this text: <A href="http://www.whereiwantmylinktogo.com">My
Link</A> where you want your link to go
- Replace the
www.whereiwantmylinktogo.com with the URL of the website
you want the link to go to starting with www.
- Replace the text My Link with what you want
your link to appear as on your webpage (the underlined text that your guest will click
on to go to the website)
- Uncheck the "Source" box by clicking on it to return to the actual view page
- Click "Save" *Do NOT click "Save" while in "Source" view
