Why do I want to design my own menu? |
|
This advanced feature allows you to customize your links as you would like.
You can rename the system features as well as add new links to external sites. |

What is the menu option for? |
|
The menu option allows you to design your own menu. In other words, you can
choose the name of your links and add new links to external sites. By choosing
the "Design Your Own Menu" you have these capabilities. This option allows
you to customize your site even more than before. |

How do I rename the links that appear on the left side of my website? |
- Login to the Control Panel
- Click the Menu Link
- Select the "Design Your Own Menu" option if it is not already selected
- Select the Feature you would like to rename by clicking on it in the blue box.
When selected the current feature name should appear dark blue
- Rename the Feature or Link by entering the new name in the "Override System Name"
field
- DO NOT change the "HRef" field
- If you want this Link or Feature to appear in it's own pop-up box, click the box
to the left of "Pop-up-window"
- Click "Save"

After I changed my Link or Feature's name by overrideing the system name, it does not change the name that appears
on the left side of the control panel. Why? |
|
After you change the name of the Link or Feature, it will not appear changed in
the control panel. However, it is changed on your actual website. To
verify this please click on "View Site" and see the change on your website. |

How do I add a link to another site? |
- Login to the Control Panel
- Click the Menu Link
- Select the "Design Your Own Menu" option if it is not already selected
- Click the "Add External Link" button
- Select the "New Link" in the light blue box by clicking on it. It is properly
selected when it appears dark blue
- Name the new link in the "Override System Name" field (This is what will appear
on the left side of your website)
- Enter the URL in the "HRef" field (ex. http://www.whitepages.com)
- If you want this link to appear in it's own pop-up box, click the box to the left
of "Pop-up-window"
- Click "Save"

I deleted the Contact Us menu item and now I cannot get it back. What happened? |
